Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is there any difference between the engine that has the EGR section plated off?
could you successfully install an EGR onto it? why would there be a difference
in the cog configuration on the crank angle sensor plate?

thanks for your reply... not sure, engine replacement job happening at the mechanics now... engine came with the plate on... all sounds good but it keeps throwing a code for the cam angle and he's trying to figure out why and wondered if it the engine with the plate may be different... looks like it might be the computer picking up the cog mismatch on the cam angle plate... fingers crossed
