My van wont start because i had no gas in it and put more gas in it but it wouldnt start up in need help know please!

it wont start because I ran out of gas then put gas in but it wont start back up. I put atleast 3 gallons of gas.

Try turning the key on and off about 15 or so times so the fuel pump primes. When you ran it out of gas it lost it's fuel in the lines and it needs to re pressurize so the fuel pump and system to operate properly.

Two good answers. The only thing I would add is to put some dry gas in it and change the fuel filter. You dredged up years of @&$# when you ran out of gas.

just pour some gas straight into the carb and fire the damn thing up. once the motor is running it will fix itself
