overheating problem

have replaced water pump, coolant level is good, no thermostat in at this time due to overheating, bottom and top hose warm, can cool back down by turning heater up full blast

New pump, coolant full, no T-stat and still overheats... All I can think of is a clogged radiator.

The level rising can be normal. It bursting out isnt. If it runs like crap, consumes coolant and puffs huge white clouds even after warming up then could be head gasket. But that's a huge jump to conclusions.
