My car can't start, what might be the problem?

I have 1.3 ford banram Rocam, I drive for as long
as I can but immediately I park it, it does not crank
or start at all  and the petrol and water gauges all
Rose perfectly but the engine is quite, it mostly
happens when the weather is cold and in winter

It sounds like a computer box problem. The little light next to the clock, what is it doing when you switch the ignition ON ? Does it come on for two seconds and then go out ? Does this light flash on and off quickly ? Does it not come on at all ? or does it come on and stay ON ?
