running lights,car battery

Asked by vlhhof Jul 29, 2013 at 08:21 AM about the Volvo XC60

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Dear sir or ma'am,

I own a Volvo xc60 that I bought new in 2010. I like the car  and the way it handles. However, every time I'm gone for about 2-3 days or more, the battery dies and it has to be jump started. I believe it's because I don't see a way to turn off the running lights in the car. Therefore, if the car is not used for a time, it drains the battery. I've had to jumpstart it 2 times and twice it was so low, I had to tow it to the dealer. Any suggestions, recommendations?

I looked up your car and you have a 5 year, 60,000 mile warranty. Get it to the dealer
