Can't find mobile 1 esp formula m 5w 40, what does Mercedes use now

In my area Pep Boys carries the correct Mobil product for my GLK 250 but the oil is actually less expensive to buy from my local dealer. Probably the only bargain to be found at the dealer! There is a significant difference between "regular" Mobil 1 5W-30 and the Mobil 1 ESP X1. The ESP X1 is "formulated to be fully compatible with the latest Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs)". Both Mobil, via their 1-800 hotline, and the dealer tell me that it is not a good idea to use regular Mobil 1 in my diesel engine. I don't know about the use of Mobil 1 in the gas engine.
