My car cuts off sometime and act like it don't want to take the gas. I have a 2001 Grand Marquis.

Check for fire at a plug to rule out firing problem,then check fuel pressure,may just be stopped up fuel filter,or bad fuel pump,but check the fuel relay to start with,then check the rest.

Check for fuel and spark. Could be a fuel related problem or something in the ignition system. Is your check engine light on and if so you need to have it scanned to find the root of the problem? Could also be an intermittent vacuum leak.
