my son replaced the battery in my 2000 STS and did not reinstall the back seat. When I went to install seat I saw blue connector w/wires laying there not connected to any thing. Should it be or is this some kind of a checkpoint. Thanks for any response.

it could be the vapor duct.. battery vapor vents are connected to the battery to vent the hydrogen & gases that may build up in the case.

Jason, thanks for your response but I don't think it's any kind of duct. It's a little blue plastic connector about 1/2 inch cube, w/some wires going to it and it's not connected to anything via female end .

If you have heated rear seats like i do its the power wire for them there should be a matching plug on the seat.
