i have a 1998 ford taurus. the alternator wont charge the battery, and the
dash light wont come on. i replaced alternator "which tested good" and also
the battery,and checked the fuses but i still can't find the problem.

I think the alternator is good, I think you have a short that is draining the battery when the car is off. Allot of people don't have the aptitude to test electrical circuits. The Alt dash light must come on when you first turn on the key, that is part of the exciter circuit for the alternator. Could just be a blown bulb.


Check the ground wire going to the vehicles frame.
