is there a way to find out if recalls have been done on a car considering buying?

Asked by lyndre Jun 30, 2013 at 04:44 PM about the Ford Taunus

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm wondering if there is a source for checking to see if recalls that have been posted for a particular model of car have been completed - maybe manufacturer or some web site .  I'm looking specifically at a 2002 Ford Taurus SE now, but would be good to know for other considerations also.  Thanks
