car is not shutdown

Asked by stevecohen1 May 11, 2010 at 01:47 PM about the Chevrolet Optra

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

battery is ok, hard to start, no action when you switch key..
when it start, cannot shutdown the engine.
key is already remove but engine still running

please advice

is it a gasoline (petro) or diesel engine?

the only thing I can guess is to find out if the key switch has loose contact inside, perhaps even if you turn on or off, it could be shorting somewhere in the switch.
