1998 Cadillac deville

I bought a 1998 Cadillac deville and every
time i try to start it it says theft system
problem car may not restart and it doesn't
start. Is there any way i get that off? If so
please tell me and thanks

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5feL05TyLtI I hope this helps, if it doesn't reset, your sensor in your ignition switch needs to be replaced.

I didn't do anything. I bought the car a month in a half ago and the car was running fine when i bought it and i haven't been driving it it just been sitting in my drive way. One day i go to start it up and it says theft system problem car may not restart.

I called a mechanic and he said he know how to take it off but so far he haven't came to do it yet. i'm just tired of it sitting and wanna get it off.
