Question type: Maintenance & Repair

93 ford ranger I was going down the hey and my
tires locked up for about a second and then when I
got to a stop sign it was like the shifter was broke
or something and if I release the clutch it will lunge
a little and die even in neutral making a horrible
sound

I'd get the rear into the air and see how it shifts/operates with engine off and when running . If there's a problem like that you'll only make things worse driving it . If you do the clutch have the tranny checked out first to see if it's destroyed or economically feasible . Replace slave cylinder and pilot bearing along with clutch and pressure plate . And have the flywheel surfaced or replaced .
