Gear failure

Asked by Feb 25, 2017 at 01:39 PM about the FIAT 500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've been having trouble with my gears
in the car. I drive a Fiat 500 and I
recently tried to start the car however it
would not change gears and it just
stayed on Neutral. Has anyone had this
problem before and can anyone advise?

Not engaging into gear is a transmission issue. A low fluid level will cause the symptom your are experiencing. Are you leaking transmission fluid? Maybe it's the linkage. Best to have it towed to your nearest garage for diagnosis.

Thanks Tom. I noticed some fluid leaking but I'm still not sure what it was.

Hello Wadih thank you for your reply. Where do you fill up the oil from ? Could upload pictures at all?
