The 225/55R17 and the 215/55R17 tires have a larger diameter, so you might have some clearance issues and it would make your speedometer read improperly. Also, the 215mm wide tires probably won't fit on the 17" rims. The best thing to do would be to go down to 16" rims and 225/55R16 tires.

will 225/50 R17 have clearance issues ? changing to 16 inch rims will be expensive .. i need to find a solution with the 17 inch rims .. pls let me knw ..
