Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello. I have a Corsa GSI 1.8. After parking it
for few hours. I battle to get it started. It
sometimes drop pressure gauge and most
of the time it backfires

First: Backfires are most often caused by anything that makes the fuel/air mix too rich, leaving excess fuel to burn in the exhaust system, This could be air leaks in the intake, a defective Oxygen sensor, poor/weak spark, or it might be a timing issue, like the belt skipped a tooth. Second: difficulty starting a cold engine might be a defective cold-start injector, or a defective fuel pump or pressure regulator, or leaking injectors..... Go to a car parts store nd have codes read, probably free. That will give you better direction.
