what modern 5 speed tranny would be best for my plymouth duster
I recently got a duster from my stepdad and im looking for a newer
transmission to match with a 360 engine. manual 5 speed to save fuel. which
tranny and where could i find one?

first of all WHATS IN IT NOW??? there are many options here...how much money will you spend?? performance ??

high performance mixed with good mileage. it has a slant six i just pulled out. got the room and new brackets for the 360 im putting in. money isnt an issue. just need the tranny options so i can find one
Don't change it , leave it alone. If someone or you wants to sell you kill the value of the car .hate to tell you this but ,you will get any kind of savings with a stick

A few options. Unfortunately all expensive. You can get a Tremec T56 kit (This manual transmission came on Vipers) The V10 is an LA based platform so the transmission should bolt up to the 360. However they are pricey. Passon performance is another option, again very spendy and there's a waiting period from what I heard. Rebuilt A833 cheaper but no OD unless you get the weaker 4sp OD which I wouldn't recommend. Put a gearvendors behind an A833, again pricey plus the added cost to cut the driveshaft to fit it.
