I would put the tranny out to pasture yet. The 4l60e is a piece but I have yet to hear of one loosing all forward gears suddenly. Reverse yah the sprag breaks but not forwards. I would be checking it out. Have you checked the shift linkage on the tranny?
i was driving slow in my neighborhood and my truck just stopped moving now all i have is reverse
