oil gauge

Asked by somedumbguy Mar 24, 2016 at 06:08 PM about the GMC Sierra 1500

Question type: General

I own a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 with 4.3L V6
I just noticed recently if I'm driving around 40 mph
my oil pressure gauge rests around 40psi but when
I apply the breaks even slightly the pressure gauge
jumps to 60 psi and then drops back to 40 psi. I
know the pressure fluctuates with acceleration and
deceleration but that seems some what
backwards. I'm on about 4000 miles with same oil.
Is this something to be concerned about? Or is this
a common?
Thank you in advanced for your advice.
