I am thinking of buying a 1961 ford falcon. Its mechanically sound but the front passenger side has a hole in floor and some rust. Is this costly and is it fairly easy to fix?

You can purchase aftermarket floor pans and weld them in, or depending on the size of the hole and how you want to fix it, you could simply purchase a piece of sheet metal and form it in. The replacement floor pans run around $60 per side online. It is labor intensive and tedious work cutting out the old metal, cleaning up the rust and getting everything to fit right. But depending on what the car is, daily driver, show car, etc.. may determine what type of repair job you want done.
