My vehicle won't statt

My car won't start after I jumped off to the post
office when I returned it would not start i had to be
towed back since I could even kickstart it ,I did not
see any warning sign , the car switches on ,all the
lights comes on the hooter and even the central
lock works so I have laminated the battery failure,
but the engine won't turn when starting the car;
suddenly there is a Epc, sign on the dashboard
please help what could be the problem

have the car scanned from a audi/VW specialst shop or ross tech software. if you can hear the starter turning or clicking it likely won't be your starter perhaps a bad battery or a the points or bearings in the starter may be going. if you turn the key and nothing then i would guess its the starter has gone on you.
