There are two plugs that screw in to the gear box The lower one is DRAIN, leave it be. The higher one is fill/check. Unscrew plug and if you can feel oil with your finger it's OK. If not, fill to upper plug until it begins to come back out. You are in Europe I take it?

thanx but my polo (2000) does not have a gage/lever that shows ife the gear box oil is low, so how can i know if the oil in not enough

It's right there ^^^ v2mk.....unscrew that UPPER plug and fill it up with whatever oil your Polo's owners manual calls for, fill it until it will take no more and begins to come back out the hole. There is no gauge or other way to know without crawling under the car and doing that
