Seat belt light partially always on

Asked by Guru2YQGC Feb 23, 2020 at 03:08 AM about the 2005 Ford Focus

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok so a couple of nights ago, I noticed that, while
driving with my sister, my seat belt off light was
on, but only very faintly. I just got home tonight
and noticed that it stayed on even after I turned
the car off. It's only fairly dim as opposed to
completely on, but it seems to change between
really dim and a little less dim from time to time. It
doesn't make the noise like my seat belt is off, so
the system itself is still somewhat functioning. I
dont know exactly what this means and if it will
drain my battery or not. Does anyone know what
the issue might be?
