when i give my caprice gas it cuts off why is that

my caprice starts runs good but once I give it gas it cuts off what can the problem.. it drives it start up it don't over heat or anything but if you give it gas it cuts off.

Sounds like a restriction in the fuel line somewhere...You might try pulling the fuel lines apart and blow them out with air and check the fuel filter(s) depending on the model
