will the motor come out the top of a 95 camaro
im wanting to take my stock lt1 and stroke it out to a 383 will the motor come out the top. or does it have to be droped out the bottom ive heard both storys
to take it out the top you have to remove the front clip and ratiator... going out the bottom would be a lot easier tho if you have a car lift
i have done a firebird 1995 and i will say it took us like 2 weeks to do it from the top the bottom would have been much easyier. doe it from the bottom and a 383 is weak do a 426. if you are using a stock lt1 it is possible to do. bad part is you get one shot and thats it if it blows you are screwed.
id suggest an lt4 conversion. good engines and very streetable.
It is just so much easier to drop it from the bottom. I have done it in a garage with a friend in a few hours, (with air tools of course). But it can still be done with hand tools Just make sure you this is not the first motor you have pulled out of a car, or you could get hurt.
