I replaced just the case of my keyless remote and now the running lights don't blink

I'd light to fix my keyless remote or the vehicle itself so that when I lock and unlock my
2005 Escape Hybrid the running lights blink since otherwise I can't tell if it is actually
locked or not.

Found that the running lights now work with the "hood ajar" issue resolved. ;-)
