today i drove to gas station left van running while i put gas.After i finished putting gas i got ready to take off and van jus died.Van cranks but will not start.Could it be fuel filter? I know its not fuel pump...because i hear it hum when i turn ignition.Could it be spark plugs and wires?Or distributor modulator? I know its sumthing simple....please help

yeah, the motor saw the cap was off and couldn't put correct pressure to the injectors, so it died.

Moral to this story: Always turn off your car while filling up your tank :)

The cap has nothing to do with the pump and injectors. The cap is emissions related. Sounds like the sediment while filling up got displaced and clogged the pumps sock while running.
