Drivers side window wont roll up, others work fine. 97 Lumina. Suggestions?

My guess is the motor is blown, or no longer functionable...Happened to me two months ago, while I was in school...Took it to a shop and they said the motor was never replaced since the car was manfactured...about $83 I believe.
