1998 Tahoe internal problems?

Asked by Matt Oct 20, 2008 at 11:44 PM about the 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We bought a used 1998 Tahoe last year and we have been noticing a vibration when at idle so we changed the plugs and checked the wires and everything was ok. It burns oil rapidly but doesn't show it from the exhaust pipe. It also has a tendency for the rpms to jump when at an idle to almost 1,000, do we have serious internal problems?
