Ford-mondeo mis-firing

Mis-firing and stopping occasionally while on drive.  can start and drive after short period of time.

It is probably a fuel problem. If a car isn't getting enough fuel to the engine, it will begin to misfire. Of course it could be other things but I would get a fuel pressure test and start from there.

You d, but don't say which model you have but the petrol duratec models do have problems with injectors breaking down after 60 - 70,000 miles. They can be replaced relatively easily although new replacements can be expensive. I would check ebay etc to see if you can obtain a refurbished set.

i had exactly the same problem turned out to be my fuel pump simple to replace cost around 50 quid for a second hand one.
