What does it mean when the ABS light & ETS OFF light come on at the same time?

Asked by peaceloveDMB Oct 12, 2010 at 11:49 PM about the 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Yesterday when driving the ETS off light & ABS light came on at the same time.  I pulled over and restarted my car and it was fine.  Today while driving I had to pull over 3 separate times to restart my car because of the lights.  & just in case this has anything to do with it, I did have a loose break line replaced about 2 months ago.

Chances are you have an ABS wheel sensor going out. When the computer detects a fault in the ABS system, it disables the traction control.
