Asked by dcmagpies Mar 31, 2014 at 08:30 AM about the Renault Clio

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I apply the breaks slightly a knocking noise starts in the front-center of the car,
when i took it to the garage and had the anti roll bar links replaced because  this is what
the mechanic said it would be but I am still getting the knocking noise. I drive a 52 plate
Renault Clio, anyone know what could be causing this knocking noise.

Usually this noise is caused by a worn rubber bush on the engine stabiliser bar. Found attached to the rear of the transmission connected to the subframe.
