How do I reset security on my 1999 chevy Silverado, the battery was taken out and replaced. Now sometimes it won't start and you have to pull the key and restart several times before it will stay running

Simply replacing the battery shouldn't have any effect on the security system. But if it is a security system problem you'll need to have your local Chevy Dealer repair it. Be sure you give them all sets of keys to the vehicle when you take it in. The 10 minute and 30 minute relearn procedure won't work in this situation. That procedure is for a specific set of circumstances. HTH. -Jim
