Your owners manual will tell you the best information. Next, is Trailer Life Magazine's towing guide for 1996. Both are going to be about 15-20 percent more than you want to pull. Since you didn't mention whether it was a 3/4 or 1/2 and you didn't mention engine size, I wouldn't want to take a guess at the capacity.

It depends on the engine, suspension, gearing and if you have a tow package.
