Start with the radio fuses / SYNC / amp or subwoofer fuse. It could be a fuse or the radio itself. I've heard sketchy things about the radios for those years (2007-2011) <- general range, not exact.

I experienced the same issue. Got in my car today, heard some little squeaky noise, could see that clock, radio and phone synced, could also see pandora for my phone but heard nothing. Turned radio, heard nothing then my screen went black to only showing the date time and temp. Turned off my car couple times thinking something would work but did not. Disconnect my phone sync and called the car place where I bought my car, made an appt and headed to work. About 20 mins on the highway, my radio display came up, I turned the volume up and could here radio. When I got to work I synced my phone back up now all is working. Don’t know the issue or fix but will be looking more into this before I spend $120 for diagnosis. Saw something on Ford Focus website about iPhone drainage which led me to that when I searched for my issue.
