Fuel filter

Asked by Aerox31416 Mar 16, 2016 at 06:15 PM about the 1987 Oldsmobile Toronado

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am replacing the fuel filter on my Olds Toronado
1987. It is at the front of the car on the drivers side
and seems nearly impossible to get to and
unscrew. Is there any tools that are specially
needed or something that I need to remove on the
car?

my former 1989 riviera is a sistership car. the car should be jacked up so that you can open the plastic door in the wheel well to get to the fuel filter. it just requires wrenches.

also... remove the fuse to the fuel pump and crank to depressurize the fuel line.
