Cavalier stalling random times.

Asked by Steph Feb 08, 2017 at 06:03 AM about the 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi,  my 2000 Cavalier is acting weird.  When the
traction control is not working light comes on the
car drives rough and gears shift hard and then
eventually stalls.  I turn it back on and it rums just
fine.  Roads are dry.  What could that be?
Thanks

Sounds like the traction control is working if you were in snow, shouldn't do that when on pavement. May have to get the vehicle scanned for ABS codes to see what is going on.

Yeah it works. It's the light that comes on when it's not working. The Tc crossed out light. And it's funny you mention the abs code cause this morning, that light along with the service light came on. Dashboard was a light show. I'm just going to take it in to get looked at. Thanks a bunch
