wont start after running out of gas

My car ran out of gas. I put in 5 gallons after people saying it
needed that much to start after running out. Well still won't
start...any ideas as to why it won't?  It will turn over, it gets fire,
but won't start.

fuel filter clogged? also check the fuel rail for pressure.

Yes check pressure you most likely burned out fuel pump from running out of gas.

Sounds like your fuel pump quit then... If you run your fuel tank low a lot it is hard on the pump, especially when you pump cold fuel back into the tank while the pump is hot.. Happened to me a couple times.

it might be your fuel filter running out of gas pulls up all the rust and junk from the bottom of your tank if it's firing but won't start sounds like the filter
