I HAVE A 1988 CUTLASS SUPREME FWD INTERNATIONAL, IT WILL RUN FOR ABOUT 1-3 MINUTES AND THEN CUT OFF. IT WILL NOT START AGAIN FOR A WHILE OR UNTIL THE NEXT DAY, WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS?

IT HAS A 2.8 V6 MULTI PORT FUEL INJECTED MOTOR IN IT. IF I REV IT UP PAST 3 GRAND IT STARTS TO SPUTTER, ONE I BACK OFF THEN IT STARTS TO IDLE AGAIN.

Sounds like you could be loosing fuel pressure. You might have a bad fuel pump but you could be loosing spark also. next time it wont run pull a plug wire and put a spark tester on it and see if you have spark if not could be a coil problem.
