Question type: Car Customization

I have just recently identified my tranny to be
th200. Which I thought it was the th350 because of
the pan shape. So I'm wondering if the tranny is
just junk or is it worth building off of. Also it was
just recently rebuilt.

Look it up, it may be a 2 speed trany which are extremely desirable in the race circuit. Plus it is rebuilt? Hang on to it!

Did GM still use the power slide in 85? I doubt it.

TH200 is a 3-speed, and not very good tranny overall, a TH350 would be a big improvement. Find out more about the rebuild, maybe they made some improvements to it.

So i found out the tranny was just a straight up rebuild so the previous owner could continue to drive it. So its looking like I'm going to need to look for a th350 (hopefully for a reasonable price).
