Please help

I have a 84 cutlass v6 3.8 it over heated and now
it's running with no power.... The car will sit idle
good no knocking no weird noises jus lost its
power what can that be

May be the catalytic converter being plugged up, should go to an exhaust shop to have it checked. If you run the car to warm up the engine up to operating temp, and rev it up at times or take it around the block, stop somewhere dark and look under at the cat, if it is plugged, it will be glowing orange.
