Check to see if you have gas flow from the gas tank. Some had a sock for a filter on the pick-up tube in the tank. Also replace any fuel filters that you find, I think there is one in the carb, and look to see if there is an inline filter. It is usually just the one filter in the carb.

The one you replaced is the only one there is unless someone has added an electric one back by the fuel tank. Rowefast is right about the fuel pickup tube sock, they do plug up. Also this old of the vehicle it is becoming common to find holes rusted in the pickup tube itself so the pump can't draw any fuel, so that is something else you may want too check.

above are correct. Sock type netting on the sending unit in the tank could be clogged. Also only one filter that screws into carb. Find it by looking where the fuel line goes into carb. in front facing motor. Also disconnect fuel line going to carb take filter out and turn key to see if gas coming out. Give you an idea if net in tank clogged.
