Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Drove about 100 miles yesterday and stopped and started a couple of times. The car was
parked indoors overnight but now will not start. I tried spraying some gas directly into the
carb but it had no effect. The engine has 80,000 miles on it and all normal maintenance
has always been done. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Having similar problem, was adjusting the points when car killed and would not start again. Figure burned the points, changed the points and was not firing. So changed the coil. I know power is making it to the points by using a test light, but not arcing/ firing. Distributor is turning, so lost why points are not arcing/firing. Points have been set.
