Chevy's 2001 Chevy Silverado I can start it up on a daily basis and it'll run for about 10 to 15 minutes and then it just shuts down it just won't start up it will crank over but won't start does anyb
My Chevy Silverado 2001 will run for about
10 to 15 minutes and then It' will shut down
it seems like it might be electrical I know it's
not the fuel pump. It's like it'll recharge
within 10 hours and then I could drive it for
another 10 minutes it's been doing this for
about a month I haven't been able to drive it
does anybody know what it might be.?????
put a voltage meter on battery while engine is running voltage should be over 13 v...sounds like its shutting off because voltage is too low
you need to check for spark , fuel pressure and injector pulse when it does not run , even if you have fuel pressure some vehicles are particular about the exact pressure .
and scan for codes even if the dash light is not on , let us know what happens .
codes will not show if you have a bad fuel pump. check the fuel pump relay, just swap one from the head lights or get a new one if you can not test it. they often get weak. could just have a bad ground on fuel pump and it is back feeding
