Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently my gas pedal quit working on me while I
was driving. I kept trying to push the gas pedal to
the floor but I couldn't go. When I turned off my car
and turned it back on the gas pedal worked again.
When I opened my hood to figure out the problem
when flooring the gas pedal my car makes a
chugging sound please help me figure this out

Is the check engine light on? read codes record them. Check battery terminals make sure there clean and tight check ground straps.
