Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello! I have a 2008 Dodge Charger and My check engine light came on and the
dealership said it was my 02 sensors....those were replaced but the engine light came
back on.  I never had any problems with the way it runs or anything. I take it to Aamco
so they could check the codes and they got the same reading .....lower bank 2
sensor....I don't remember the code. They suggest I drive it to see if it goes off....(the
engine light) It doesn't and I take it back and now it's throwing codes for intake manifold
and all this other crap. They suggest they do change the com to see if that works....any
suggestions....I can't register my car because it won't pass emissions

Hello...yes I did have some luck..let me tell you... So I joined a Dodge Charger forum and looked for people who had similar issues...a guy told me that I would get the run around and be told to replace my intake manifold. He also advised me not to do that. I did allow Aamco to reset my computer which was $700 and that cleared all codes except the original code it keptciming up with. My husband changed the sensors (very easy). Then I read on the Dodge forum that sometimes the shortrunner gets clogged and all I may need is carborater cleaner...so my husband bought a $6 can of berrymans carburetor cleaner and sprayed the doors or solenoids on the short runner which was full of gunk. I drove it and it cleared all codes and my engine light went off and it passed emissions! !!

The shop wanted to just replace the entire part...they kept lying saying the plates were broken.....BS my car couldn't have driven if that were true..they eanted1,700.00 additional after resetting my computer!! This is just what the guy on Dodge forum's website told me they would try!!!!

Hi there sheliame Thanks for your post. I am having similar issues and I am very interested In knowing in more details what you did to fix it. I am sorry to say that your explanation was not very clear. The carburetor cleaner is normally a liquid you put in you gas thank! What doors did he actually spray?

Hi there! You can email me. New cars don't have carburetors...they have short runners but they do the same thing....the carburetor cleaner comes in a spray....."Berrymans Carburetor Cleaner". You csn also call me this evening after7pm EST and my husband will give u step by step directions. In newer cars such as ours you pour carburetor cleaner in the gas tank but in older cars (my husband owns a couple classics from1972 and 1974...), spray was used and still is...... My contact info is 510-472-7093 sheliame@gmail.com Call us...you will b relieved!! Are u familiar with car repair or anyone you know and can trust? My husband will give them great instructions!!

How do I remove a engine light code from my dash I had my car fixed but the code still there

I own a 2012 Charger and last night my car did the most strangest thing. It started out with this weird electrical noise coming from my cup holders, shortly after I couldn't even shut my car off. It was stuck on "run" and wouldn't turn off. All of a sudden my wiper blades started going off and my dash lights were flickering white lights. I heard a weird faint noise coming from my trunk. It sounded almost as if I had subs running back there, kinda like the fan noise. My key fob wasn't able to shut off the car and the lock and unlock would not respond. Shortly after all that poltergeist activity, my car died. Later that day I ended up jumping the car and it started right back up as if nothing happened. I'm a bit worried about it not starting back up if I go somewhere. I'd hate to be stuck! Help!! I did have one other question.....why are some removing their PCM from their Dodge Charger?

I need help Nobody can read my 2008 police charger .. my engine light just came on and they said they couldn’t get a code or anything from it does anyone know why it’s doin that
