To get the brake lights to work you have to push the brake peddle as far as it will go. and the car behind you has no warning you are stopping. When the motor is off you just touch the peddle and the lights come on ??? Note: Power brakes

You need to check the brake light switch,on break pedal,as you say you touch it when car is off,and it work,s,but when you run the car,it,don,t because power brake booster make,s it tighter,change the switch.
