2001 Chevy Cavalier stalling

Asked by Rick Apr 21, 2017 at 11:47 AM about the 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving my car and It was fine until I turned the corner
and it acted like it didn't want to go. It acted like it didn't
want to accelerate . I managed to drive it a quarter of a mile
to my aunt's house where I parked it and it stalled out after
I pushed the throttle a lil. Then it started right back up and
was fine. I checked the fluids and everything was fine. I had
noticed it would stall a couple times over the last few
weeks when starting it. And the check engine light has
been on since I've had the car about 3 months. And the
prior owner said it was on for the 2 years they had it. Any
ideas?

Thee may be more than one code you need to find out what they are and let us know before you take the advise from someone at autozoo

sounds like fuel pump or related. If it stalls out around corners when your fuel level is low, may be a partially clogged fuel pump sock.
