Why is my battery light staying on and gages go out when driving down the road?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When i was driving down the road the speed odometer quit on me. Then later
on that gas and temperature gauges quit. And all the other lights came on. I
change  the alternator on it. And now the battery light is staying on. So can
someone tell me how to fix it?

We have chenge the alternator and clean all the wires. This is what is happening. I was driving down the road and the turning signals quit working then the speed odometer stop working. Then about five min. After that the gas and temp. gages quit working too. And all of the other lights came on. So we change the alternator, now the battery light is staying on and is still doing the same thing as before.
