high RPM's

can anyone tell me why m 89 cadillac el dorado is having problems with high RPM's? all i have to do is let go the brake and the car will go as if i am hitting the gas pedals

You may have a bad EGR Vacuum Solenoid, hard to adjust without using a computer.
